Andhra Pradesh
North Andhra or Uttara Andhra (#IAST: Uttara Āndhra), also known as #Kalinga Andhra (IAST: Kaḷiṅga Āndhra), is a geographic region in the #IndianState of #AndhraPradesh. It is between the #EasternGhats and the coast of the #BayOfBengal. It comprises seven northern districts of the state.
The Pitrbhakta (#IAST: Pitṛbhakta) dynasty ruled in the #Kalinga region of eastern India in the fifth century CE. Their territory included parts of the present-day northern #AndhraPradesh and the southern #Odisha. They probably overthrew the #MatharaDynasty.
