The overexposed star in the lower right is known as Gamma Cassiopeiae.
The V shaped nebula in the center is IC 63.
The nebula above Gamma Cass is IC 59.
Both nebulae together are designated Sharpless 2-185.

IC 63 The Ghosts of Cassiopeia - telescope processed image. IC 63, the Ghost of Cassiopeia, is a spooky emission/reflection nebula 550 light-years away. Radiation from Gamma Cassiopeiae is slowly eroding it.

IC 63 The Ghosts of Cassiopeia - unprocessed image. It's being eroded by intense UV radiation from the nearby star Gamma Cassiopeiae, which is 65,000 times brighter than our Sun.

Set up the s50 for 3 - 3-hour observation times. Pretty much did nebulas I had already observed to see what the result would be. Starting out with #IC63 #TheGhostsofCassiopeia. #seestar #S50 #space #astronomy #amateur

$The Ghost of Cassiopeia nebula shot with a 130mm Astro-Physics refractor and a dedicated cooled Poseidon-M monochrome astronomy camera. Filters used were RGB Antlia V-Pro filters for the RGB stars, and Baader 6.5nm narrow band H-alpha and OIII filters for the emission lines of hydrogen and oxygen. Narrowband images : 139x120s for H-alpha, 109x120s for OIII. RGB images : 60x30s for each RGB channel.$

The Ghost of Cassiopeia Floating in the royal constellation Cassiopeia, this wispy apparition is IC 63—often called the Ghost of Cassiopeia. It’s a faint, billowing cloud of hydrogen sculpted by the nearby bright star Gamma Cassiopeiae. Ultraviolet light from that star energizes the nebula, making hydrogen glow a deep red while delicate dust lanes silhouette the surrounding starlight. The result is a haunting, layered structure that seems to drift through a star-rich Milky Way field. In this widefield frame, the ghostly tendrils rise like illuminated smoke, with crisp, textured edges giving way to softer, transparent veils. Scattered blue-white stars punctuate the scene, while darker interstellar dust weaves a subtle backdrop that rewards a long look. MAJ sur le Fantôme de Cassiopée avec un nouveau traitement beaucoup plus joli.

3h de plus sur la nébuleuse, masque d'étoiles avec réduction, rejet de quelques images supplémentaires qui ne faisaient qu'empâter le résultat.
