Comic progress is extremely slow as I learn how to draw...turtles... Anyway next chapter should release next week and I'll also be starting an art raffle around then near the end of the month. Have a sassy, lost, star-headed unfinished pink creature in the meanwhile.

My face when someone on the train starts fighting with the dude that's tryna sleep. Upgraded my canvas size, so this chapter may or may not look a bit different. Wasn't sure if Webtoon could handle it at first but it seems I didn't come close to the limit for last chapter and that was longer so I should be good. Be safe today if you are affected by the massive booby storm that the meteorologists are on about. Things are progressing smoothly with Chapter 6. Plan is to get it up by Jan 15th, and then, with the schedule I have laid out, I should be able to finish the first arc of the story before the December Holiday (like 23, maybe 24, chapters total)😎 Here's a Penny creature.

The first interaction between Phinn and Kel was nice. Light shines on em from different angles as Phinn walks in front of him here. Little things like that go a long way for setting the tone for me.
One of my favorite side characters, Anyta Lambhert and her posse of black cats. Shes is heavily based on several influential figures in my life like my middle school teachers and the like. She even carries over their accents. A lot of teachers called me "too old" for my age. Anyta is the type of character that would do the same and then drop some old Jamaican Patois proverb, just like she does here. The phrase used here is a variation of a common saying "Ne broom sweep clean, but ole broom know dem cahnas" saying that a new broom sweeps clean and looks good on the surface, but an old broom knows how it used to be and knows what to target. Its a lesson about experience as well as never letting go of the old ways. Phinn, of course, much like young me when my grandma used to say stuff like this, does not fully understand and goes on with her day lololol.
This scene was actually painful to draw. Imagine going to work everyday and you're ready to do your best because this job is your passion. But everyday someone passes by and says the same thing. "Oh you're so good at this. You're not like the others. But you're still one of them." People dont approach your store because "you're one of them." You cant sell to anyone but regulars because "youre one of them." And you work is trashed because, well, you get it by now. I'm sure that this chapter explained the problem here for Everhen. So it was amazing that one simple gesture was all it took. A simple wave. And his day is improved. Of course, you can't stay long because loitering in front of an establishment led by "one of them" will alert the droids. And because youre not "one of them" you'll be seen as less than normal for any interactions made that aren't business. Hate it here lmaoo.
This scene took 3 hrs to draw... Thats it. Thats why its here... no interesting alt text like the others for you. You're the odd child lol. But maybe... the design itself is significant. Hopefully I get to draw more about the main city of Khlier in the new year😎
