Photo encaustic diptych of tangled, tall birch trees in a small valley in Reykjavik, Iceland called Elliðaárdalur. The encaustic wax is built up to create texture around the edges of each piece, and the muted tones of the background vary from yellow to green.

Just because I'm painting again doesn't mean that I've given up on photography — far from it. This photo encaustic diptych of a tangle of tall birches in Elliðaárdalur in Reykjavik will be on display as part of my Urban Trees show.
