I love to re-read old books I've had for YEARS. Last month it was #TheSecretHistory (the debut of #DONNATARTT) and today I started in on #INCOLDBLOOD by #TRUMANCAPOTE. I consider this book to be the GOAT of true-crime books. I think I've read it at least 20 times in my life. This one cuts deep.

I’m not a fan of #truecrime and disliked #InColdBlood, but @clairewords.bsky.social recommended #ThisHouseofGrief by #HelenGarner so I gave it a go and – what a book! So relentlessly questioning and insightful. Such precise, unfussy writing. I’m in awe.

So creepy that they filmed the scenes at the Clutter home at the original house where the murders occurred. This film sure does have a great look. It’s a real blessing that they didn’t film it in color. The black-and-white conveys so much more. Great musical score too! #InColdBlood #TCMParty
