This morning volunteers began removing the burned State Reserve boardwalk at #MonoLake County Park, which was damaged by the #InnFire. Thank you to the volunteers, California State Parks, Mono County, the Bodie Foundation, and the Lee Vining Women's League for helping to make this happen!

Fire crews have reached 54% containment on the #InnFire as of this morning's report. People who had been evacuated have been allowed back home and Highway 395 is open. We are so grateful to the 550+ firefighters who are still here working to put out hot spots and increase the containment!

Went for the fishing, and found this instead… A Sikorsky Skycrane helicopter collects water at Lundy Lake for the #InnFire that continues to burn between Mono City and Lee Vining in California’s #EasternSierra. Hwy 395 is open and Lee Vining businesses remain open as usual.

As of Saturday, May 24 the #InnFire has grown to 726 acres and is 15% contained. The highway remains closed and the evacuation order remains in place. Power has been restored to Mono City and Bridgeport. The cause of the fire is unknown. 📷 Bartshe Miller

The #Innfire in #California had grown to over 700 acres to the northwest of Mono Lake, near the Nevada border. It’s one of several brush fires that have erupted in California in the last week as the weather has gotten warmer.
U.S. 395 is closed in Mono County between Lee Vining and Mono City due to the #InnFire. Southbound travelers coming from Bridgeport/Tahoe/Reno will take State Route 167 to detour around the closure. Northbound travelers heading to Bridgeport/Tahoe/Reno on U.S. 395 will take U.S. 6 as a detour.
