MISO Interconnection Processes Get Changes Approved by FERC
The Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) has made significant changes to its interconnection processes, approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), aimed at improving operational efficiency and fairness within the generator interconnection process. The revised rules, which came into effect on December 2nd, restrict changes to interconnection points once a queue cap is established, while also granting customers more flexibility in modifying site control requirements for generating facilities.
