Her first number one song ever was "When I Think Of You." I was so enthralled with the Julien Temple-directed video and the remix. She grew up when I had to grow up. Control became a soundtrack for me.

She ditched the sugary pop, kiddie sound of her previous two records, and made grown-folks music.

Its video was shot by Absolute Beginners director Julien Temple, in a "one-shot" format (it had actual 5 edits). Michael Kidd and Paula Abdul choreographed the video.
The remix of "When I Think Of You" was used for the soundtrack. A slightly longer version is on the 12".
