Javier highlights the critical issue of reduced federal funding for HIV treatment, affecting thousands who rely on daily medication to survive. The #SaveHIVFunding campaign has been active for a year, with lobbying, rallies, and a call for donations to support those in need.

Cuts kill. All I ask is that you watch this in full. The Save HIV Funding Campaign, led by PrEP4All, managed to stop the federal cuts for this fiscal year only. However, at the state level, 23 states are either considering or have implemented cuts to HIV funding. In short, ADAP, The AIDS Drug Assistance Program, is a nationwide program funded by Congress through the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part B. However the delegation of funds is administered at the specific state level. HIV treatments and prevention costs are rising, healthcare subsidies have expired sending premiums rising, while simultaneously, as I’ve stated here, funding has been cut or is under consideration for funding cuts in 23 states thus far. Please if you have the means to donate, the link is in my bio. We need all the help we can get so no amount is too large or too small. Your donation will make a world of difference. Your allyship and support will ensure we can continue to show up for and protect every single person living with HIV under the threats and attacks from this current administration and its supporters.
