Harvest hubs taking root across Kansas Hubs aim to help address a lack of access to healthy food, a factor in the state’s steep decline in the national health rankings.

A harvest hub is a community-based operation that brings together producers, processors and distributors of local food. Those products can, in turn, be purchased locally, regionally, and nationally.

House Health Committee opens session, introduces series of health-related bills and schedules Southeast Kansas CCBHC briefing The Committee on House Health and Human Services opened with member introductions and entered multiple bills on physician assistant practice agreements, nursing-board procedures and fingerprinting, pharmacy compounding and controlled-substance updates, tort-claims coverage for child-welfare providers, and adding APRNs to the health-care stabilization fund.
