Before picture, walls are uniform due to having only a single sprite for each modular piece.
After picture, walls have some variance as each modular piece can have varied sprites with cracks, wear and dislocated bricks.
The importance of some tile randomization to make an environment feel more natural. 😈
Last week I've implemented some bespoke tile randomization systems and have been applying them to the existing levels.

"Save Game" screen showing existing save slots and a "create new save" option. The side panel shows detailed information on the currently selected save slot.
"Load Game" screen, which is very similar to the save screen except it has no "new save" option and instead displays the autosave file at the top.
Confirmation screen for loading a saved game, which allows the player to review which slot they're loading and what its date is.
Confirmation screen for deleting a saved game. It's identical to the load confirmation screen except for the deletion option.
UI/UX work may not be very glamorous, but it's important. #KatFS supporting as many save files as the player wants (up to ten thousand), saving/loading/deleting them whenever they so desire.

First new #KatFS implementation of the year and I think I've peaked early 😅
Entities that burn out or get destroyed by fire spawn energy orbs that restore Kalia's mana. This system will replace the "Fire Drain" ability and gives an extra incentive to splurge on the fire abilities! 🔥😈

Easing myself back into gamedev for #KatFS with some intensive worldbuilding. While Kalia's debut adventure takes place in a smaller scope, I want to set up a world for her to exist in and explore in later adventures, based on Southern Brazil and its surrounding areas! 🤘
