Whenever travelling to #Vienna 🇦🇹 by train from the south and in the evening, I try to catch #EuroCity #Emona from #Ljubljana 🇸🇮 and #Trieste 🇮🇹. It’s got a #Slovenian #DiningCar, one of a kind (in the eyes of the railfan). My snack tonight is composed of a #Kranj sausage and a beer from #Ljubljana.

Today I find myself in Kranj, the capital of the Slovenian alps — and once home to 19th-century poet and cultural national hero France Prešeren whose poem, “Zdravljica”, is used for the national anthem, yearning for world peace.
