It's bright yellow: The piece is a solid, cheerful yellow color. It has studs on top: Like most Lego bricks, it has those little round bumps on top (studs) so you can attach other Lego pieces to it. It's not a perfect half-circle arch: The curve isn't a perfect half-circle. It's a bit flatter and less rounded, officially described as "2 1/3" high.
