A stark, terrible example of income inequality that has exploded in #CA and nationwide during the past decade. The pandemic onset in 2020 only accelerated the widening of income inequality. In #SF by fall 2021, there were dozens of RVs parked around #LakeMerced— a formerly “affordable” neighborhood🥺

My #bike on a bridge that crosses #LakeMerced just below the #HardingPark Golf Course, San Francisco. There is usually a pair of osprey nesting here and I have seen osprey grab catfish from the lake.
Driving past #LakeMerced in the early evening I noticed a massive searchlight. Just to the left of the #searchlight you can see #SutroTower. Sutro tower is 254 meters tall. The distance to the tower is just under 6 km in the picture.
