As another user of germanic language I support this. It‘s shorter than „day after tomorrow“ (even if the movie of the same name would have a less dramatic title) and if it used to be a „proper“ word anyway…. #languageisfun

Sitting next to queer Gen Z best friends at NYC breakfast- and they talk like a meme. Not a little bit- a lot a bit.
It’s amazing.
“ I am low key obsessed with her- she’s a baddie”

Only asses name themselves first - is a saying on (writing) manners that we use in Germany. (No that isn‘t a typo. The german saying means the animal. But for once there‘s nothing lost in translation… ( depending on AE/BE of course but still) #languageisfun

Subjekt-Prädikat-Objekt! Deswegen! 🤣Dieser Kronleuchter geht mir jetzt erst auf! Zeigt wieder mal, dass eine gute Übersetzung eben NICHT nur eine reine Übertragung des Inhalts sein darf! #languageisfun

How cool! Thank you Didn‘t know that. So that‘s why may is called that! Because that‘s what happens in may? Yes, in March and April as well. there‘s a german saying „May makes everything new“.It rhymes in german. Which refers to nature renewing itself aka „dresses itself with leaves“ #languageisfun

Ah! Thank you! „Cold burn“. Like many others I would have expected it to be written with two „L“ then.
Thanks for teaching me a new word! #languageisfun
