Languagetool has decided to lock the Browser extension behind its premium tier.
Luckily self-hosting it isn't too difficult. I still prefer it over Grammarly.
I've tried Harper, it still has some issues, but seems very promising.

Asked #languagetool support if there was a way to cancel automatic renewal in 2 yrs. I got a response from some other product support person. When I asked for clarification, they went ahead & cancelled my 2 day old subscription. I give up. I will use their competition.
