A light green caterpillar with black spots down its sides is sitting on top of a deep pink stock flower. Its body is covered in fine white hairs, in which droplets of water are visible. Yes, ok, I didn't notice the caterpillars until *after* I watered the plants. They're the equivalent of teenage humans, so I'm sure they needed a shower anyway. 😄
While watering the garden I discovered a brood of large white caterpillars* eating stock plants. I'm sad for the plants but happy to be helping butterflies!
*as in, caterpillars of the large white butterfly. The caterpillars are actually green. 😄

This large white #butterfly was warming itself up on our window ledge today when the sun finally came out again. Quite a fine specimen … no doubt our veggie plot will get some attention from the caterpillars as usual
