And in the #firststate #Delaware #ice is not always bad #LegislativeHall #Firemen #reflections #stroll is still possible #reflection Was interesting to catch a pedestrian out for a walk as things ice over more in evening drop in temperature. Fireman memorial should be over by lake but ours is on the corner of our Legislative Mall area where the main time you can reflect on their service and sacrifice monument is after all the cars are gone after work. I love monuments to remember those who serve. My favorite of all time was the Kennedy Center as it was a living tribute to the creativity and joy that is possible because so many give their all in service. The lights on cupola change colors now from blue and red which is more purple. Various lighting colors are used. I think blue is for autism. Green and red at Christmas are always a favorite.

Love fireworks paintings. Sold this to a cool guy who “likes what he likes!” Dover is capital of our First Forst State to ratify the constitution. I paint Legislative Hall a lot as it’s a cool building from all sides. This was from a couple of years ago. And I named it “first state fourth.” Be sure to check out most of my works on etsy if you cannot visit galleries in downtown Dover. You should have a state capital bucket list! #Delaware capital building is called #LegislativeHall. My view most mornings as I approach gallery after picking up coffee. I’ve painted it often & love all clouds heading our way ahead of storm systems. We’re to have rain most of week. #FirstState despite popular claims by another to the contrary.

Not sure if I posted our #fireworks from Friday evening but I love when #LegislativeHall is highlighted in #redwhiteblue. #DoverDelaware is a cute little town and just not taken seriously as a state Capitol. Big city to the north & big ocean to the south garner the most attention! #taxfreeliving

Shot this on fly going by #legislativehall this morning. Beautiful #sky. Enhanced this photograph as plan to paint this view. Living in state capital offers lots of fodder for an artist who has to meet retail rent each month. I paint a lot of local landmarks as they are always popular. My marketing feature on this one is that it’s the perfect gift for those with political aspirations. I’m only #Artist with a gallery in Dover and have been a Delaware artist for like 40 years. I’m never taken seriously by art establishment but just keep doing my thing as selling keeps me in paint. Have fabulous museum around the corner, The Biggs Museum, with Rockwell Kent exhibit that just opened. Admission is free to the museum as a wonderful patron gave a gift for that purpose. We have an art league that I helped establish back in the eighties. It is getting its bearings again and gradually getting more focused on artists. Our library is fabulous too as it has free space to exhibit for all artists as part of its founding. No commission or no fees to exhibit there. The Ag Museum is just up the road and they now offer free art space for artists to exhibit and there is a commission.
