Writing sample: "Her mother is trying to wage war in her city, her only brother has been long gone, and her closest friend has been strung and broken like a porcelain doll, but Mel refuses to be defined by what has been taken from her. Piltover is alive. It hasnโt been waiting for her, but sheโs here. She knows these streets and these buildings, she knows these people and these human fears and hopes. She knows the gilded brilliance that radiates from them, and she knows the flaws hidden behind the polished shine of each hall.
