I know I haven't posted much but I've been through my treatment now & things have been tough. The side effects aren't as bad as some but still significant.
Today is a particularly bad day with fatigue & brain fog pretty bad.
Hang in their kittens.

Little win from last night:
Since ~2012, my fine motor skills have been degenerating(a big part of my not having facial piercings is because I couldn't put them back in; I also can't tie shoes). But I was able to get earrings in! Took about an hour to do the six, but I did it! #livingwithcancer
Shout out to everyone who came to #cancerincommon on Saturday.
So nice to chat with such inspiring & friendly people. And wonderful to see so many new faces - who knew that having had cancer could bring such positivity in your life!

Tired.
My core treatments have now finished so I'm hopeful to get back into life again.
Though now I'm broke of course! Ha!
Today is world #cancer day.
We honor the survivors those continuing to fight and those that have lost their lives to cancer.

To be real now. It's so difficult to be normal when I'm so fatigued I don't want to get out of bed but rest doesn't help. When I have to wear a "nappy" during the night, and when I do pee it hurts so much.
I know my partner understands & loves me but it doesn't make it better
#LivingWithCancer
I had a rough time with treatment today so my partner spent almost £60 on a fried chicken dinner for us.
I love them so much 😭😭❤️❤️

My cancer isn't visible. My treatment not severe enough. Friends & family (except my partner) aren't worried & aren't putting themselves out to help.
Same as an "invisible" handicap. If people can ignore it, they're happy to do so then get defensive when you ask for help

Laying here at 2am with runaway body temperature due to hormone tablets.
ICE murdering civilians
Wearing pee-pee underwear as my bladder can't be trusted during my treatment.
So, 2026 is a shit-hole isn't it.

Treatment went well, too well, so after I carried on like a normal day.
Body said "Nope" about 5pm & I crashed out. Just woken up (9am).
Yeah, I should maybe not do that next treatment 🤔😂

Here we go...1st treatment session!
You don’t have to be positive all the time to face cancer.
Research shows forced optimism doesn’t improve outcomes—and it can actually increase suffering. What truly helps is emotional honesty, realistic hope, and being supported exactly as you are.

Tears of joy... My boss has said he'll sort my boiler out somehow 😭😭 OMG I'm so lucky

Hormone treatment is doing a number on me now. OMG I'm just unable to sleep...my body temperature is all over the place!
Today's blog post, the next in the Cancer Diary series, is #Creative #Continuity: #Cancer is not an end, but a chapter.

I think I should be taking this #LivingWithCancer more seriously & maybe NOT doing 12 hour drives? It's difficult though when those closest to you rely on you ☹️

I had a couple of scans yesterday, 1st MRI then CT, to establish "targeting" for Radiotherapy. I was very nervous about the self-administered seppository that's required for the scans & each of my treatments but it was ok.
Treatment starts at the end of the month into February!
#LivingWithCancer
So, for my scan today (and my treatments in the future) I need to self-apply a seppository that, from the description the nurse game me, will essentially...make me crap my soul out.
So, yeah, I'm not looking forward to ANY of this today ☹️
#LivingWithCancer
I got a call from the hospital about my MRI scan on Friday & apparently it's a whole "thing", I'll be there for hours & it'll be a very similar procedure to when I get the Radiotherapy treatments which is ... Let's just say ... yukky 😬
#LivingWithCancer
Hormone suppressors kicking in now so I'm feeling "Menopausal" & getting hot flushes. Gah!
#LivingWithCancer
As per the Doctor, I'm not allowed to enjoy anything now. Apparently "caffeine is bad for me"
#LivingWithCancer
My first MRi scan is already through for the beginning of next month.
This is a positional scan to get the location on file of where to direct the microwaves during the normal Radiotherapy sessions.
Getting everything right is going to be tricky & I need to do my part.
#LivingWithCancer
Feeling buoyant as hormonal treatment starting today! I have a raft of tablets AND Radiotherapy is likely to start in January 😁👍
Let's get this done
#LivingWithCancer
My first consultation this morning & time to find out the details of my treatment. It's feeling a bit too "real" now ☹️🫠
#LivingwithCancer
My consultation has been brought forward to next Tuesday!
Good news. Hopefully treatment can start early next year
