The Antwerp #VOC trader "Pieter van den Broecke" is the first Dutchman to visit #Kongo in 1608. First he left for the Cape Verde Islands off the coast of #Senegal, then he traveled to the Kingdom of #Kongo and later the Kingdom of #Loango where he stayed for 30 months.
