A mobile sawmill located on a patch of ground outside a village, surrounded by large tree trunks, some of which have been cut into roughly 20cm square lengths. In the foreground are several Oak trunks and to the right more tree trunks. To the left of the mobile saw are piles of waste wood and piles of sawdust. In the distance is a village church with a pointed tower visible above many trees, and the sky is a dusty blue with no clouds.
These may not be trees in a forest, but they were and as the woodsman's saw has revealed, have thick trunks. This mobile sawmill 'une scierie' is a few kilometers away from where I live but I can hear it operating when a breeze is blowing!
