I just had the Diplomacy tab pop up, and I was like, "Why do I have a diplomacy in the middle of winter?" So I clicked it...and it promptly disappeared.

That fortress hasn't gone anywhere since I realized it's completely flat, which means there's nowhere to dig into the mountain to create a straight route to an underground trade depot that the wagons can access.

I had to build the new depot right next to the old one, since there are only two levels in my fortress accessible by wagons, and the one with the trade depot is the only one that actually has room to build a trade depot.

The rebuilding takes a bit because first they have to move everything that was in the trade depot outside the tiles it occupies, which is why I need to construct a temporary one elsewhere.

I had a couple holdings pop up, so I designated a messenger in order to request workers from them. Except the messenger keeps starting the task of "request workers" only to immediately replace it with "store item in stockpile."

For some reason I'm no longer getting strange moods. My first thought was that all my dwarves had already undergone strange moods, like what happened before when I only had 70 dwarves. But I now have 435 dwarves, none of them babies.

I don't know if I mentioned, but I finally found the fucking flux stone. All 105 pieces of it.
Turns out that it wasn't the "layer" I was promised, but rather a tiny corner spanning three levels that adds up to less than the amount I purchased from the dwarves.
