Pleased too see that BBC I Player is running all the original series of Inspector #Lynley. I need to watch them all again to expunge the memory of the inferior new series, I didn't even finish the first episode.

So that's the new #Lynley watched through.
Both characters are softened compared with the books and with the Parker/Small castings of the previous adaptation. He's less posh, she's less untidy. Stories are still good. Worth a look.

It's a little disconcerting that the male lead in #Lynley looks so like Richard Tice. It's even more irritating that his sidekick doesn't give off any working class vibes at all.

Started watching #lynley and switched it off after 15 minutes, yet another inferior remake. Not a patch on the original with Nathaniel Parker & Sharon Small, the new duo have no rapport at all and what's with Haver's accent, not Norfolk at all?
