#Lystrosaurus became the dominant terrestrial animals in the Early #Triassic, showing great abundance all over the world, from Antarctica to China. Multiple species emerged showing differences in morphology that likely reflect the local environments.

They've always been a favorite of mine, especially since hearing that during a period the Early Triassic they made up at least 90% of the planet's land dwelling vertebrates. Absolutely wild if true 😂more reason to love them!
A quick infographic/diagram of an ancient, pre-Weresaurian era, semi-legendary figure Aldal, who she is a were-Lystrosaurus (dicynodont synapsid). She is basically, in the context of the worldbuilding project (Chimeric Chronicles), they are basically loosely inspired by Ea-nasir but are somewhere to have periodically resided or travelled to a region similar to historical Aksum than Mesopotamia.
