#MMT disproves the lies that are used by politicians to make us think that the government can't afford to build the infrastructure needed to tackle climate change. They tell us, 'we can't do what we can't afford' when the reality is 'anything we can do we can afford'.
It may be a good idea in some situations for the government to use tax to free resources for the government to buy eg. taxing house builders would free resources needed for the government to build council houses.

You need to remember that the purpose of tax is to control inflation. It doesn't fund government spending. The reason for taxing the wealthy is to make them less wealthy to reduce inequality, reduce their political influence and prevent them from haording resources.

Where did it go? The Money wasn't wiped from the Markets, it was moved to other "safer" investments like Foreign Markets, Real Estate or Bonds. The U.S. Dollar never leaves the U.S. Financial System. #MMT
