We analyzed sediments from the 228m BTB13 drill core (3.29–2.56 Ma), capturing the mid-Piacenzian Warm Period (#MPWP) and the onset of Northern Hemisphere glaciation (#NHG). In Africa we see diversification of Paranthropus and Homo and the earliest evidence for stone tools. (2/8)
