I switched off Copilot in my MS Word, but I've noticed this ominous green dot hovering just to the left of my blank document. I assume if I click on it accidentally, it'll switch on all AI features again, am I right? 🙃

Services like #ChatGPT and #MSCopilot are a collection (pipelines) of several tools sold as a monolithic product. As a key component at several "joint points" there are humans doing the labeling of data and QA. But, #ML has been around longer than a good chunk of humanity doing solid good work.

I make an annual demonstration of the dangers of #AI to students by having AI write my bio. This time, #MSCopilot obliged magnificently. (I have no connection whatsoever to the University of Kiel; my PhD is from the University of Southampton. The rest isn't wrong as such but low quality.)
