What I love about being situated in the #MajorityWorld is that more often than not, the nearest and next person I encounter has their humanity intact.
On #Bluesky, I saw a fool with Main Character Syndrome tell a #Malaysian national—yes, a citizen of Malaysia—to get over their "privilege" and that they should've voted for Kamala Harris.
You read that right.
Meanwhile, the #MajorityWorld are discussing #Ube and #Pandan economics on #Twitter.
Green Door Academy courses are carefully written (by humans) to be easy to read while using the most recent research. If English is a second language, we've got you! Our courses are for everyone, no matter where you live.

A bunch of declassified emails is, q-white frankly, not the problem of the #MajorityWorld.
What matters is centring the Democratic Republic of the #Congo, #Palestine, #Sudan, #Venezuela, #Iran, #Mexico, #Lebanon, #Myanmar, #Artsakh, #Pakistan, #Iraq, #SouthSudan, #TheSahel, and the rest of Here.
Coming from the intrinsically diverse #MajorityWorld, political literacy with respect to liberal and conservative/right-wing positions requires moving past the inelegance of the left-right binary.
Liberalism is not the furthest edge of the left.
I signed up for #UpScrolled.
The first thing I saw when I tapped the Discover tab was #MajorityWorld news—immediately.
Seeing non-Majority-World #Bluesky users criticise the experience only confirms to me that they prefer their little bubble, which is q-white a damning choice.
Here is my profile:
There’s an influx of Japanese and Korean users lately?
Finally, more #MajorityWorld culture.
I’ve clocked this behaviour since I started posting on this app, but it has always been q-white ignored. There is a reason I keep my interactions almost always strictly oriented around the Majority World.
Seeing the non-Majority-World airing #Bluesky grievances now, but far later than when us in the #MajorityWorld were pointing it out—including the #Palestinian account suppression—confirms they can’t be trusted.
They are doomed to repeat this without a bit of self-awareness over, and over, and over…
The recent #Bluesky discourse about whether the #MajorityWorld is “better off” being:
(1) murdered with bombs by the privileged
or
(2) murdered with bombs by those with stripes of marginalisation
…proves the “We Miss #Twitter 1.0” cohort only want spaces that do not have actual Humanity™ in it.
In the theatre of fascism, there are two sides:
Humanity™ and those who aren’t part of the #MajorityWorld.
I have a hunch the radiation incidents in #Indonesia are not accidents, but plants by intrinsically violent foreigners who hate BI/POC for having political sovereignty.
Their resentment has emerged, now that they can’t force us to be their pets.
The #MajorityWorld must be centred more than ever.
Sujata Mukherjee, @monaelswah.bsky.social, and Crystal Abidin are the guest editors of the special issue, which will explore the complex and contradictory challenges of content moderation in the Majority World.

Using r/Palestine to shoehorn discussions about a far smaller non-genocidal situation is just sick.
If they talked about #Congo, #Sudan, and other parts of the #MajorityWorld alongside #Palestine, it would be warranted. It’s obvious that the long-time suffering of these beautiful people are linked.
The vibes have been off for a while now.
If there’s little adoption from the #MajorityWorld, there’s almost always a very good reason for that.
With regard to #Palestine, it seems like the non-Majority-World only surface during the visible part of the cause in order to take all the credit.
The true framing is that many in the #MajorityWorld recognised Palestine decades ago and the non-Majority-World is assisting after many calls to action.
There's no war but class war…and until the non-Majority-World stops insisting that people of colour must always sit below even their most marginal, unity remains impossible. They don't get a free pass into #MajorityWorld spaces.
All class analyses without analyses of race and coloniality are false.
Going from #Bluesky to #Twitter to get #MajorityWorld news is like going from a drought to a flood.
The "Indonesia Gelap" hashtag here has become inundated with the non-Majority-World using #Indonesia to score points for their personal politics.
This obfuscates local voices and live news.
Yes, our liberations are connected. But they hinge on the centring of the #MajorityWorld, not the inverse.
Others on said subreddit noticed, and I forgot one can't block moderator accounts.
Being neurodivergent and sometimes picking up patterns early is I get pushback before being proven right; I'm used to feeling alone in what I see.
Not today.
Ironically, it's a #MajorityWorld neurodiversity space.
In reference to those attempting to sow confusion over recent events:
Blaming the #MajorityWorld for speaking English is a sign of a lack of imagination.
You can turn something that was violently imposed into something that serves.
A rare #MajorityWorld subreddit appears to have been infiltrated by non-Majority-Worlders.
A recent post was a blatant violation of the rules, which I reported right away. The moderators are also acting suspicious.
I reported and blocked the moderating team. Frankly, I expect to be banned soon.
This is why I am still on #Twitter.
Many people there allow for access to #MajorityWorld news such as the #Afghanistan earthquake, the #Pakistan floods, and the situation in #Indonesia.
For the latter, it only caught on here many months after build-up events took place—and were tweeted.
While recent events may test #Bluesky, I've observed that even though the app gained substance since, non-Global-Southerners only talk to each other about it.
There's suspiciously little interaction with the impacted.
For safety, I'll focus boosting only #MajorityWorld voices closer to the ground.
#Bluesky actually feeling useful and of substance in recent days due to visible #MajorityWorld news is breath between all the anxiety.
But, non-Global-Southerners only commenting to make recent events about themselves over centring the impacted #GlobalSoutherners is disappointingly unsurprising.
I just read on #Twitter that Twitter itself may be censored in #Indonesia, due to the demonstrations happening today.
I am now seeing more activity from Indonesian users on #Bluesky. I hope what is happening now is reaching people on this app.
What goes on in the #MajorityWorld matters.
Detailed updates on the demonstrations in #Indonesia are predominantly on #Twitter, not #Bluesky.
This is because when it all comes down to it, despite performative likes and reposts, the core user base of this app are q-white uninterested in what is happening in the #MajorityWorld. #IndonesiaGelap
