Three maps of possible rover missions for Mars 1984, a suggested follow-on to Viking. The top one is in the Capri region (plateau above Capri Chasma, part of Valles Marineris, notable for a chaotic collapse feature with a channel emanating from it. The middle one is in Valles Marineris at Candor Chasma, with two possible traverses exploring floor deposits. The bottom one is in fractured plains on Alba Mons, with small channels incised into the surface.

Two more pairs of maps (context at left, detail at right) showing Viking Rover landing sites and rover traverses. At top is a site in Mangala Valles, one of the great dry river channels on Mars. At bottom is a location near the south pole on polar layered deposits, which probably contain ice and carry a record of past climate fluctuations on Mars.
