This model Gyan was recovered from Zeon during the cleanup of the One Year War. It is currently unknown how the unit was sourced, as it was not properly tracked until the unit was delivered to Torrington in mid-0080, and any previous paperwork was lost during raids of Zeon buildings. Enthusiast theories range between this being M’Quve’s personal unit to the unit being a half-completed prototype. As there are multiple reports for M’Quve’s final fate, with some of them including his death in such a model, this is unlikely. It is more likely a prototype that was found half finished and completed for delivery.
The unit was given a coat of white paint on the limbs to make it closer to Federation colors and was used for performance and combat tests. During those tests, it was given standard Federation ranged weaponry. However, it still had the beam sword and shield. The shield was, according to rumors, equipped with paint pellets during these exercises rather than the missiles… but there is no solid evidence this happened. More than likely the shield was left with no ammunition inside.
The Gyan came out victorious three times in a three on one fight, but that was also likely due to the ace pilot being used for testing the unit.
The Gyan was last seen in 0083, being added to the fleet review out at Konpei Island. Like many of the Federal forces, it was lost when [REDACTED] and has not been seen since.
Enthusiasts claim its combat data was used for the development of the Galaldy Beta and GMII. Their source is that they made it up, but there could be some truth there.
And here it is, displayed on a nicely ornate wall shelf
#Gunpla complete! I finished the custom #MasterGrade Gyan, with the idea that it was captured by the Federation post-OYW. I’ll spit out the background I made up in the alt-text.
