The ML4Maths pipeline Pattern recognition has been at the core of mathematical discovery for centuries, perhaps most famously the conjecture of the Prime Number Theorem by Gauss. Increases in computational efficiency have lead mathematicians to enlist the help of computers in performing experiments which drive conjecture formulation, for example the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer Conjecture in the 1960s.
