#MaximumSecurity: Not the pilot, but an assembled collection of storylines from 7-ep run on HBO.

OZ it ain't.

With exception of some salty language & 1-2 scenes, it plays like mid-80s network dramedy set in place that looks like prison. Even theme song mellow.

Only Jean Smart shines (of course).

Filmbewertung Maximum Security: Der letzte Film mit Bruce Willis hat von der Idee her, eine Menge Potenzial und eine stabile Besetzung. Leider wird mit der Idee und auch mit der Besetzung faktisch nichts gemacht. Schurken mit Superkräften landen in einem Gefängnis, dass ihnen Fußmannschetten anlegt, die die Kräfte dämmen, als auch, im Essen kräftedämmende Substanzen drin sind. Naja sobald der Strom ausfällt, kriehen alle ihre Superkräfte wieder, warum auf einmal das Essen keinen Einfluss mehr hat, ist nicht ganz klar. Es wird kurz mal erwähnt, dass sie einen neuen Lieferanten haben. Aber ob das der Grund ist, bleibt unklar. Naja ansonsten passiert viel, cause the movie can happen, und die Charaktere sind halt Straftäter plus ihre Superkraft, mehr Charakter erhalten die Leute halt nicht. Zumal die Kräfte ja den Großteil des Films gedämpft sind.
