If it’s not explicitly banned does that mean Whole Foods tolerates and works with abusive suppliers?

According to the statement on Whole Foods' own website, if it’s the truth, wouldn’t that make Whole Foods equally complicit to animal cruelty?
And if so, why are they not named in any of the lawsuits for accountability?
