Did another 4 rows on #MedievalRose today and we’ve had a color change again. We’re moving into the dark brown and the end of this skein. Another 4 rows and then the pattern changes to taper to the points of these leaves. #LaceKnitting 🧶

The crazy thing about #Knitting a shawl as big as #MedievalRose is that those 4 rows I did (2304 stitches) only adds 3 cm to the total diameter (1.5 all the way around). It’s like knitting into a black hole. Thankfully, the pattern starts changing in about 6 rows so that will be interesting. 🧶

I’ve worked 45 rows on this 96 row section of #MedievalRose. 3 more rows & I’ll be at the halfway point. 16 rows after that and the leaves start to taper to their tips. 32 rows after that & the section will be done & the stitches will double. I’ll design that bit when I get there. #LaceKnitting 🧶

OMG you’re right!! I knew it was becoming a giant flower but have been puzzling over what to call it. The colors remind me of a copper patina, metals, and wood. So an ancient church window fits perfectly! She’s now officially #MedievalRose Thank you!!
