Speculation phase, list of 100+ ideas. #7: Road diet along Memorial Drive. #12 one thru lane on Memorial. 1-6, 8, and 9 were the larger intersections that advanced.

Constraints (e.g. legal, physical requirements): Equal or better Ex Intersection Level of Service. (alongside reasonable constraints like safety, no flood impacts) Necessities: Overall Intersection LOS E or Better. (alongside other reasonable necessities like lighting, space constraints) Desires: Signalized Individual Turn Movement LOS D or Better (alongside reasonable desires like wayfinding, creating a sense of place)Constraints (e.g. legal, physical requirements): Equal or better Ex Intersection Level of Service. (alongside reasonable constraints like safety, no flood impacts) Necessities: Overall Intersection LOS E or Better. (alongside other reasonable necessities like lighting, space constraints) Desires: Signalized Individual Turn Movement LOS D or Better (alongside reasonable desires like wayfinding, creating a sense of place)

Alternative B3, Tight Diamond Intersection with Bridge. It's literally an offramp as if Mem Drive is a 60mph highway and not a 25mph parkway.

I looked back on yesterday's #MemorialDrive slides. #MassDOT considered smaller roads (pic 1, items 7, 12), but lists an inviolable constraint "Equal or better level of service" (pic 2).

It's overbuilt today. If you require no compromises for cars, of course you'll get a highway offramp! (pic 3)
