Does anyone know if Snapper cards offer a refund for used cards? E.g. in the UK, the equivalent system (Oyster) your card purchase price is actually a deposit, which is refunded if you return the card.
The wording on the Snapper site says "buy" and also says its an RRP, so you might be charged […]

I thought it was the 5G network being on different frequencies to my phone, but if that was the case, how could I post this? A bit worrying that Metlink is down (at least for me).

Once again, #Metlink have sent a cancellation notice for my train, literally as I step out my front door to catch it.
Which (of course) means it's too late for me to catch the earlier train.
@grumpyyetamusin.bsky.social there's been 3 #Metlink KPL cancellation notifications this week, "due to staff shortages"
I'm usually meant to be WfH today. But for Reasons™ I have to go into the office.
And so, obviously, today is the day #Metlink cancels my train, without enough warning to make the previous one.
And it's raining.
Something tells me today is going to take some resolve to get through...

WHY is Metlink so BAD at running trains. They have only 4 lines to maintain. It’s not like it’s The London Underground, Tokyo Metro or Sydney trains.
Every week there is another issue.

Discovered a way to save 10% on my #Metlink travel this morning. But it's horrific on the environment.
1 way trip is $11.03 (WAIK-WELL). New Snapper card is $10. I can swipe onto a trip with a new, empty Snapper.
