This decorated soldier survived combat overseas… only to be killed here at home on American soil. He deserves to be honored, and I’m going to keep sharing his story. Lt. Col. Brandon Shah was a Professor of Military Science and leader of the ROTC program at Old Dominion University. He served his country in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Atlantic Resolve, surviving dangerous combat deployments overseas. He was a decorated American hero whose awards included two Bronze Stars, the Air Medal with Valor, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Joint Service Achievement Medal, along with the Senior Army Aviator Badge, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge. Rest in peace, Lt. Col. Brandon Shah
