A white swan glides on dark, gently rippled water, its body forming a smooth, rounded curve while its wings arch upward in soft layers of feathers. The light catches the swan’s plumage, giving it a warm, creamy glow against the cool blue-grey surface beneath. The bird’s head is bowed slightly, with its orange bill and black facial markings adding a small but striking splash of color amid the otherwise tranquil, monochrome scene.

Also this nice Swan 🦢 during the #BoxingDayWalk. Apparently they’re not keen on Brussels sprouts. Proper swan food 👍. #BirdsUK 🪶 #MilwallDock

The bird has a long, hooked bill that is pale at the tip with a yellow patch of bare skin at the base, and its eye shows a greenish sheen. The tail is long and wedge‑shaped, and the legs are sturdy and black, giving it a somewhat reptilian, prehistoric look.
