Threshold of Ember explores the moment where light confronts vastness. A luminous vertical field of molten orange and gold rises from a deep, textured darkness, evoking a doorway, a wound, or a sanctuary—left deliberately undefined. The surrounding blues and blacks absorb and resist the glow, creating tension between emergence and disappearance. Layered strokes and scraped textures suggest time, erosion, and persistence. The work is less about illumination than survival: the quiet insistence of warmth existing within cold space. It invites the viewer to stand at the edge—between retreat and crossing—where meaning is not declared, only felt.
