County to return part of Buggy Wheel Ranch Road to U.S. Forest Service ahead of heavy haul traffic Public Works reported the county will relinquish about 1.8 miles of Buggy Wheel Ranch Road to the U.S. Forest Service because heavy mining haul will increase maintenance demands; the county will retain roughly 1.2 miles to maintain paved access for a potential Starlight Prairie subdivision and plans construction work this spring.

Coconino County is set to transfer a significant portion of Buggy Wheel Ranch Road to the U.S. Forest Service to accommodate heavy mining traffic, while keeping essential access for future developments.
