I’ve started to think of the #Monarch show as part-time work to keep the best English-speaking actors of Japanese descent busy while they wait for another Shogun-level prestige drama.
Really good episode focusing on a lot of personal faults and setting up for some great growth. The Keiko and Lee stuff was peak messy ao3 fic and its parallel to Hiroshi's lovelife. The Cate content was wild and I'm excited to see her come back
