El Dorado could likely be so much better if they upped the proof. I'd love try more of these but prices for the quality just don't match.

ECS 24, 2011 is the yearly 12yr straight rum at 120 proof. The proof is what makes it so good compared to other 12yrs at lower proof. It makes it a winner for cocktails as well or just ice if ya need it.

Was going to save this as my birthday drink but I had nothin else for tonight.
Regular is just over 90 proof and this one hits 109 proof. First taste was close to an Appleton 15 at a higher proof.

Tonight we check out the Penny Blue XO batch 2 rum. 96 proof and supposedly all natural with finished in various cask.
While good to have just as a different rum taste for company, I can't see me just having or getting another bottle.
