streetcar turning off of Market st onto the stub-end wye (the wye is actually double tracked, I guess so they can park a streetcar here if they need to and still turn around other streetcars). car 1056 is painted cream with a big black swoosh on the side.
the pole is up on the wire on what's normally the front end of the streetcar, so that it can go in reverse (it is theoretically possible to "back pole" but it's tricky; having the extra front-end pole to make backing-up moves more reliable is a particular feature of SF Muni PCC cars)
