Ethiopia is held up as never colonized, yet the country endured one of the most brutal modern invasions under Mussolini and continues to face resource theft by multinational corporations that operate with almost no oversight. That is not economic freedom; that is neocolonial extraction. He then breaks down how Botswana is consistently misused as a libertarian example of success. Botswana’s stability is linked to its intact pre-colonial governance and the discovery of diamonds after independence. Yet the most decisive factor in its growth is the state's nationalization of its primary resource sector. By libertarian standards, this should be a socialist nightmare, yet it is precisely why Botswana is able to retain wealth rather than watch it leak to foreign corporations.
The continent is so cooked with ops like this being so bold and wrong.

We need to buy eco-friendly cleaning products, insulate our homes, change our boilers and have a Canadian well, buy less plastic, sort our waste, drive eco-friendly cars, limit our speed on the roads, do not fly, limit our water consumption when we shower or flush the toilet, limit your consumption of concrete, have a compost in our garden, limit our consumption of meat, use Aleppo soap and limit our consumption of sun creams, use a solar oven, invest in ecological energy (wind turbines, photovoltaic panels, etc.), buy second-hand. Electricity, oil and food prices are rising under the pretext of ecology. Mining, lithium extraction, nuclear power plant waste, large factories, construction, petroleum, intensive agriculture (soil pollution, exorbitant water consumption) and so on. Multinationals pollute far more than private individuals, and are not subject to any ecological measures to limit their pollution. The world’s richest people, especially via multinationals, are responsible for the world’s biggest ecocides: they destroy forests such as the Amazon rainforest, pollute rivers, destroy the seabed, impose conditions on farmers such that they destroy the land, which is in danger of becoming sterile due to the use of chemicals, and mistreat animals. What’s more, chemicals such as pesticides are causing the extinction of entire animal species. They should be judged internationally, not according to the laws they decide at national level in each country. “The poorest half of the global population accounts for only 3% of carbon emissions associated with private capital ownership, while the top 10% account for 77% of emissions. The wealthiest 1% alone account for 41% of private capital ownership emissions, almost double the amount of the entire bottom 90% combined”. The images are frightening. We see caravans of migrants crossing Central America on their way to the United States. We see boats filled to the brim off the coast of Florida or in the Mediterranean. In border towns, we see hordes of young men on the streets, destitute, jumping the barriers of detention centres, living in squats, sometimes addicted to drugs. European countries and the United States claim to be so overwhelmed that they delegate their borders to Mexico, Turkey and the countries of North Africa. They pay them to process asylum applications before the migrants have set foot in the destination country. The detention centres are inhumane and the migrants jump the barriers to get to their destination. The barrier is very easy to jump. Migrants enter countries illegally because it is inhumane to ask to enter legally. So, they do not stand up for their rights.. Faced with these terrifying images, we hear the Right telling us that these illegals must be punished more severely, and we hear the Left telling us that there are no problems with migrants. These migrants work for a tenth of the price and cannot assert their rights before a judge. The people most affected by migration are the rural and poor. The result of this situation of irregularity is to create an extremely cheap labour force that cannot compete with European or American labour who must respect proper social and environmental conditions. Western countries draw up lists of jobs in labor shortage that the inhabitants of these countries supposedly no longer want to do. Western governments give visas for these jobs, forcing the current inhabitants to accept poor working conditions. It’s shameful, given the GDP of these countries. It is legitimate to feel helpless when faced with these migrants. The fields and the restaurants in the United States and Europe are full of illegal workers and the fields and the restaurants are not controlled. Cleaning and public roads are also affected.
