階段上の展示台にセサミストリートのエルモというマペットと下段にプレーリー・ドーンという名前の金髪おませな女の子のマペット。 （マペットというのは1950年代にジム・ヘンソンによって作られた、人間もしくはラジオコントロールにて操作されるパペットを表す言葉です。「パペット」と「マリオネット」を組み合わせ、今までの人形劇と区別化するためにつけられました。）
同じく展示台に毛がフサフサなクッキーモンスターという名前のマペット。ギョロギョロした目、手にはチョコチップクッキーを持っている。
ビッグバードという名前のマペット。これは手元で繰るものではなく人が中に入るタイプ。フサフサとした羽毛で覆われてて足は太く、指部分はぽってりと３つに分かれている。（たぶん真ん中の指部分に着ている人間のつま先が入ってる）

セサミストリートのスーパースターたち。ビッグバード大きい！足の太さが良い！
やはりいつか着ぐるみというか人間サイズのパペットを作りたい。

ジム・ヘンソンにより最初に作られて、彼の声を自分の声とした有名なカエルのマペット、カーミット。 ガラスケースの中で箱に座って片手をあげている。
こちらも今回のNY旅から。
イサム・ノグチミュージアムから歩いて25分位の場所にあるmuseum of the moving imageにも行きました。目当てはジム・ヘンソンの常設展です。
セット、コスチューム、初期のCMを作ってた頃のパペットたち、スケッチ、そしてもちろん沢山のマペットたちが並んでいました。
パペット作りを自分なりに勉強しているものにとって縫い目や目の作り方、内側の仕組みなど間近で見ることができてうれしかった！
