My back porch music setup: two folding wooden chairs, one for sitting on and one serving as a table for my Bluetooth speaker, a water bottle with iced tea, and the case for my Fender Mustang headphone practice amp. In front of the"table" chair is my Squier Stratacaster on its stand and a music stand with a tablet showing a PDF of the rhythm guitar tabs for my song "Somewhere Someone Cares." Lying on the porch between my chairs and the camera is a brown tabby with white markings, enjoying the nice day with his two-legged mum.

The weather's so nice, I'm taking some practice time on the back porch. And lucky me, Chuck came out to join me. #MusiciansLife #CatSky

Grabbing my guitar, which lives next to my desk, so much lately, has pulled the cord out into the area in front of my Strat. It hurt my toes like a mutha, and it turns out that I pulled the cord right out of my Strat. I just fired up Guitarix and tuned my Strat, and I'm not... 3/ #MusiciansLife

I was getting up to get another beverage during the Dodgers game, when all of a sudden I felt something catch on my foot and I almost face planted. Luckily I was able to stumble and it the bathroom door, and I immediately knew what my foot got caught on. 2/ #MusiciansLife

... what the rhythm guitar plays during the first guitar solo, and I like that it breaks up the monotony for the rhythm track, which otherwise plays the same figure all through the song. Now I just need to get more Strat time instead of kicking back on the bed because I'm knackered. #MusiciansLife

Dammit. I jumped into MuseScore to fix the problem with the bass line, then used BandLab to create a new audio track for the bass, and with Kansas playing on my telly (from my laptop) I want to work on my music, but I have too many afternoon things to do first. 😿 #MusiciansLife

Getting that rhythm straight was a bugger. I ended up taping my foot while I counted out the rhythm, tapping my handon my guitar to help establish what the rhythm was. Once I finally had it, I made a voice recording of the rhythm and wrote that down on paper to help me remember... #MusiciansLife
