#NAIS folks, looking for recs on articles/books on how the notion that the land wasn't being used was weaponized to force Indigenous people to give up more of their land. Allotment is one example (or a million) but it's all over the place really & I'd love to see how others are thinking about it

Race After AI: DEI Perspectives from Real Educators. AI is popping up everywhere lately, and educators are increasingly buying into the hype. This workshop, taught by two educators of color with experience with AI in education, aims to help you better understand what AI is, the limitations, biases, and ethical concerns surrounding it, and what the long term consequences are for embedding it into our educational system. We will examine AI from a DEI and social justice perspective by looking at how this technology flattens diversity, obscures unethical practices, and exacerbates pre-existing sociocultural issues. Finally, we will also look at how AI fits alongside school policies and offer tips on how to hone your own school’s AI policies.
