About that #NEWTOT penalty... The new rules introduced this season should be clear enough, but as with almost any other rule in this game, it's the refereeing inconsistency that ruins it for everyone.
The only precedent this year is #FULMUN (again thanks to VAR), but it happens in almost every game

A lot of debate re the Newcastle pen last night #NEWTOT and the inconsistencies (AGAIN) with decisions. Imo if you're wrestling a player and haven't once looked at the ball it should be a pen. Managers/Pundits seem to defend it one week and then complain about it the next depending which way it goes
