#Day31 It was time to further descend and go back to #NIMAS campus in #Dirang we had to run 8kms in 1 hour with the 20kg load. I finished in 63 mins, better than half the crowd. Kudos to
Self. After that again 4-5kms #trek. We got network and pouring messages made the last
Mile a difficult walk.

Mountain gears.

#Day25 The snow capped mountains was sparkling at night. We were closer to Tibetan borders. The group trekked further to acclimatise as part of daily routine physical exercise. Our rigorous ice craft training started at the base camp. #Mountaingears #Mountaineering #ArunachalPradesh #NIMAS

#Day20 Trek to #Mago 11,500 ft. It’s the start of our journey towards the glacier area. But the weather was acting up. It started to rain. With 20kg load, all we could see was the road ahead. Heads down. Back bent. The down jacket and windcheaters that #NIMAS gave were put to use #ArunachalPradesh

#Day19 There was a 1 mile run test which we had to complete in under 8 mins. With elevation. I did it. Pat on the back. Also, I was casually chatting with the chief instructor and got 6 story ideas, related to #mountaineering and #Nimas in 15 mins. #Journalism. Got a clarity on what I’d do next.

#Day16 One of the male students had messed up in the dorm. So the entire batch got punished. More workout and no breaks. Besides, since the physical training happened on public road, one of Method of Instructions (MOI) students, a young women, got hit by a two wheeler. #Nimas #TrainingHazards

#Day8 was all about theoretical class on, rock climbing, glaciers, avalanche, and mountain manners. We also had some artificial rock climbing sessions. #NIMAS #ArunachalPradesh #Mountaineering training.

And the training starts (Oct 17- Day-1). A glimpse of training camp. The artificial climbing wall, which is apparently Asia's second highest, is where we’ll be trained in the coming days before going to the glacier area. #Day7 #Nimas

It’s been a decade since I lived in a hostel (except for travel hostels). And now I have to be in a dorm of 50 people. Most, GenZ and millennials, discuss the next summit, camera gears, travel. Vibrant crowd from across India. One chap from TN has been walking continuous for 150 days. #Day6 #NIMAS
